A fast-paced ideation session

I set out to revolutionize the creative process by breaking out of the conventional bubble and fostering a truly collaborative environment. Through extensive research, development, and design, I created a fast-paced ideation session format that leverages both systems and data alongside real human connection. The goal was simple yet ambitious: transform how our team and clients solve complex challenges by making brainstorming effective, fun, and directly tied to tangible business opportunities.


My Objective

I wanted to enhance collaboration across our team, generate innovative ideas, and ultimately convert those ideas into tangible client opportunities. By stepping outside the conventional creative bubble, I aimed to open the door to better ideas and more effective problem-solving.

While many creative teams tend to operate in isolation, I knew that true innovation comes from diverse perspectives and cross-disciplinary collaboration. I set out to:

  • Connect teams across multiple regions and disciplines.

  • Leverage data-driven insights alongside creative brainstorming.

  • Foster an environment where every voice could contribute to solving real client challenges.


The solution

I developed a fast-paced, structured ideation session that I host virtually once a month. These sessions brought together team members from various offices—including Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Singapore, Dubai, Malaysia, and Hong Kong—and across disciplines such as creative, media, strategy, data, tech, and account service.

How I Did It:

  • Structured Brainstorming: I crafted a series of focused exercises that use systems and data to spark creativity, ensuring that our brainstorming is both fun and effective.

  • Global Collaboration: By connecting with colleagues from across the APAC & MEA regions, I ensured that our sessions benefited from a diverse range of perspectives.

  • Result-Driven Process: These sessions are designed not just to generate ideas but to convert them into actionable client opportunities.

    Additional Contributions

    In addition to leading these ideation sessions, I also led:

    • Branding and Design: I led the visual identity for the sessions, ensuring they were engaging and memorable.

    • Onboarding Material and How-To Guides: I developed comprehensive resources to help new participants quickly get up to speed and contribute effectively from the start.


THE RESULTS

As of December 2022, I had hosted over 35 sessions with clients. I’m proud to share that these sessions have achieved a 23% conversion rate, meaning that nearly one in four sessions have turned into real client opportunities. This approach has not only enhanced creative output in the agency, but also delivered measurable business value.
