The idea is to create a playful, irreverent sporting showdown using Cornado chips as the catalyst for hilarity, transforming everyday snack time into an epic contest.

What happens when we get two iconic players from two completely different sports together in a room? We get them face off in our very own Finals!

The challenge was to tap into both the NRL and AFL audiences with one campaign, creating a playful, irreverent sporting showdown using Cornado chips as the catalyst for hilarity, transforming everyday snack time into an epic contest.

Creative Strategy

Bridging Two Sports:
By bringing together iconic players from both NRL and AFL, we tapped into the inherent rivalry and camaraderie between the two sports. This cross-code approach was designed to spark intrigue among fans from both sides, uniting them under a shared banner of fun and competition.

Embracing Humor and Authenticity:
Recognizing that our audience loves irreverent humor, the strategy was to use raw, unfiltered language and playful exaggeration. By highlighting the ludicrous excuses and quirky challenges, we aimed to normalize fun around a competitive edge while celebrating the everyday joy of snacking.

Multi-Platform Engagement:
The mini-game competition was designed to be as shareable as it is engaging. Beyond the live event, bite-sized content such as "The CC Face Off" cutdowns were envisioned for social media, amplifying reach and encouraging audience participation and user-generated content.

  • Chip Squeeze Challenge: Competitors try to stuff as many chips as possible into their mouths, blending absurdity with competitive spirit.

  • Cheek-to-Mouth Maneuver: In a playful contest of facial expressions and agility, players attempt to navigate a chip from their cheek into their mouth—a challenge designed to be both hilarious and highly shareable.
